ERGANI is a unique handmade doll, inspired by the simple lines of archaic statues.
She is the archetype of Woman, spinning the thread of life with her hands in a movement that resembles a dance.
Her body is made of cotton fabric, and her clothes are crafted from fabric handwoven on our manual loom. The colors and patterns of her garments are a variation of a design found on traditional Greek folk aprons.
She has no facial features; however, her hair is embroidered with great care and detail, while jewelry adorns her hands.
Her name comes from the epithet of the goddess Athena, "Athena Ergane" (The Industrious), as she was the one who taught humans the art of weaving.
We create the Ergani doll in a limited number, and each one is unique—just like every woman.
